Call me Froda. My close friends know my real name but I'm a bit paranoid so info like that is pretty much reserved for people I trust. I'm in college. I'm 21. I'm American. I'm one of those scary librul types, stuck in a red state. I consider myself a Christian, so if that bugs you, read no further. My faith is mine, and mine alone, and while it may become a topic of conversation here, I will never, ever attempt to impose any aspect of my religious worldview on anyone else. Just for the record, I expect the same of everyone I friend.
This journal is friends-only mainly because I'm a control freak. I like being able to control who sees most of my entries. That having been said, my occasional (very occasional, these days) fandom stuff will probably be public. Don't hold your breath, though.
I'm a film studies major, with an academic focus on feminist (and post-colonial feminist) film theory. Movies are more or less my life. I read a lot, too. I watch abit lot of TV (my current true loves include House, Heroes, Doctor Who, Grey's Anatomy, and CSI). I talk to my friends online. I have a crappy part-time job. I have self-esteem issues, and have been dealing with a bit of on-again, off-again depression. Check out my LJ profile for more info on fandoms I'm involved in/talk about.
If you want to read my locked entries, all you have to do is comment here and ask. I'm happy to friend most people, though I reserve the right not to for any reason whatsoever, seeing as this is my LJ and I get to pick who reads it and who doesn't. I've noticed that some people lately have been friending me, not commenting, and then after a while defriending me again. You can't just friend me and expect me to notice. My friends-of list is just too big, and I simply don't have time to keep track of things like that. You've gotta comment. It's not difficult, and frankly I'd like to know you actually take an interest and aren't just friending me for the sake of having one more person on your friends-list!
